Ladybridge Sensory Space Booking Terms and Conditions

The Sensory space is designed to be a haven for those with additional needs, their parents, carers and support workers.

  • We recommend a maximum of 6 persons can use the room at any given time.
  • All users are expected to treat other people and property with respect.  
  • Children and vulnerable adults must be supervised at all times.
  • Footwear must be removed and can be placed in the basket provided.
  • Personal belongings can be hung using the hooks provided on the back of the sensory space door.
  • Electrical switches, the touch screen monitor and iPad must only be operated by parents and carers under the instruction of a member of staff.
  • No food or drink or other consumables shall be taken into the sensory room. Please leave the room as you find it.
  • Ivy Church reserve the right to exclude any persons or groups found misbehaving or ignoring the Booking T&C’s.
  • There should be no removal of Ivy Church’s property.
  • Toilets are available and located next door.
  • Report any breakages or damage to a member of staff immediately.
  • All users must undertake a short induction before their first session starts.
  • Sensory room bookings are subject to availability and can only be made up to 2 weeks in advance.
  • We reserve the right to charge for, cancel and/or refuse the acceptance of a sensory room booking.
  • You may not be admitted to the setting if arriving before the agreed start time.
  • Fees for bookings by professionals will apply.
  • Carers are to structure each activity to the ability level of the children.
  • Carers are to complete ongoing risk assessments of each activity and piece of equipment, with every child, being aware of signs of over arousal or challenging behaviours which could present a hazard.
  • Carers are fully responsible for the health and safety of those in their care using this facility and should provide constant monitoring.
  • Carers must support child's safe use of sensory rooms and engagement in learning according to the child’s needs.
  • Good housekeeping when using the equipment is recommended to prevent trips and falls.
  • Carers should visually check for signs of wear and tear or damage before use, reporting them as needed.
  • Users must wear appropriate continence wear if required.
  • We reserve the right to cancel bookings during any period of site closure.
  • Children and adults may not visit the sensory space while they are infectious and 48 hours has passed from the last incidence of sickness and/or diarrhoea, if applicable.
  • Please inform us if anyone has an accident, however minor – one of our staff will record the injury as required. There is a First Aid kit available in the café and defibrillator available on site.
  • Please follow all safety notices and instructions.
  • In the event of a fire, emergency or on hearing the alarm, please follow the instructions of the staff team. The assembly point is located in the car park.
  • Use of equipment will be entirely at the risk of the adult on the booking form.
