Information for you

Accessibility

We wholeheartedly embrace the belief that every individual is created to worship God and can be fully welcomed into our supernatural community, just as Jesus welcomed people. We strive to create an environment that is genuinely inclusive, welcoming, and accessible to everyone so that all can participate in our community through worship and discipleship.

Our goal is to foster a culture of acceptance, respect, and understanding for people of all abilities. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and recognised, and where barriers, whether physical, communicative, or sensory, are proactively addressed and reduced. We welcome open dialogue and feedback as we work to continually enhance our accessibility efforts.

Get In touch

Physical access to our buildings

We have taken proactive measures to ensure our church buildings are physically accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Step-Free Access

Our facilities are either designed or adapted to accommodate wheelchair users and feature accessible entrances and ramps. All doorways are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility aids.

Parking

Parking, including designated disabled parking spaces is available on site in the car park behind the church building. Turn off Barlow Moor Road onto Hesketh Avenue and the car park gates are on the right. The designated disabled spaces are at the far end of the car park.

Seating

Our seating is flexible, and spaces are available for wheelchair users and those who require additional legroom or support.

Toilets

There is one fully accessible toilet for wheelchair users accessed from the main meeting room and two additional ambulant toilets accessed from the main foyer.

Sensory Adaptations

Recognising the diverse needs of our congregation, we offer sensory adaptations to facilitate an accessible experience to as many people as possible.

Hearing Loop System

For assistance during church worship services there is a hearing loop fitted as well as a sound system for amplification

Quieter Spaces

We recognise that some individuals may need a quieter space during services or events. We have areas where the sound levels are reduced, please ask anyone in a blue t-shirt for more guidance.

Sensory Boxes

We offer sensory boxes at the main entrances which contain various items to help those with sensory processing needs.

Lighting & Haze

We do not use any form of strobe lighting, moving lighting or haze within our services or events.

Assistance Dog Friendly

Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the church.
